Hi,

If it's been a few days since you heard the pop which occurred while asleep and there was no nausea, vomiting, double vision, slurred speech, or other constitutional symptoms then, you may have heard an auditory phenomenon associated with the nightmare but it is not clinically concerning or relevance.

If you are having headaches that are not going away then, you should see your doctor for a more detailed story on the symptoms of the headaches which are likely treatable with simple measures.

However, what you describe does not likely involve any blood vessels, aneurysms, or strokes should any of those entities be of concern to you.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
