How To Reduce Weight?

Hi I have just started taking Loestrin 24Fe for just over a month to regulate and lighten my periods. I exercise everyday and I havent really changed my eating habits but I have gained 5lbs already. I have actually been trying to lose weight. My clothes are starting to not fit. I am scared that if I keep taking this pill I will keep gaining weight when I am already trying to lose weight. What should I do?<

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Many women use birth control with no weight changes whereas others may experience issues with these medications.

Medications can cause weight gain by increasing appetite, decreasing energy and activity, affecting fullness and change in metabolism.

If you are able to exercise at least 150 minutes a week (recommended amount) and also use a healthy diet then it is unlikely that weight gain would continue to be a problem for you.

Some of the weight changes you are experiencing may be related to bloating or fluid retention.

I hope this helps
