How To Stop Heavy Menstrual Bleeding While Having Endometrial Hyperplasia?

HI I am 30 years old and had been suffering from irregular mensturation cycle since 5 months. I did a physical examination where the doctor asked me to start birth controls for hormonal control and was asked to do a blood test and ultrasound of the pelvis. Blood test shows iron deficiency and i started on iron supplemnts and ultasound shows endometrial thickness as 15mm. Once i started Birth control pills after the examination on the first day of my next cycle after a week i started bleeding heavily for 13 straight days. Now it has subside but there is still some bleeding. What is the diagnosos in this.

Hello,

This is called endometrial hyperplasia. You should do a D&C procedure and do a biopsy of the material taken.

You can start to use oral contraception pills to help you with bleeding.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
