How To Test For Internal Damage Caused To Abdomen Due To Sudden Onset Of Pain?

I was attempting to close my bedroom window, which is hard to close, so I had to use both hands to push down on it hard. When I did that, I felt something pop in the center of my lower abdomen, slightly above my bikini line. It had a cartilage type feeling to it and it hurt but the pain subsided after a minute or two. What was it that happened and should I get examined?
