Hi,

Ovashield tablet contains Acetylcysteine, astaxanthine and clomiphene citrate. These will help for ovulation induction and for conception. After taking these tablets for ovulation induction you have to track the ovulation by the follicular study with alternative ultrasound examinations. And have to plan unprotected intercourse around the time of ovulation, which will increase the possibility of pregnancy.

As you have not got your periods till now, to get the clarification, please go for a blood test for pregnancy. If the test gives negative results, the possibility of pregnancy can be excluded. And in the next month from the third day of the periods you can start the ovashield DS as suggested by your doctor, in which the clomiphene citrate will be of double strength.

Next month also you have to undergo the follicular study as usual and have to track the ovulation. Along with this checking your fallopian tubal patency by hysterosalpingogram and testing the seminal parameters of your husband will increase the success rate of pregnancy.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Sree Gouri S. R., OBGYN
