How To Treat UTI's?

I've been getting lots of utis over the past year and the treatment seems to work until a few days after i come off it. I get all the symptoms of the infection but nothing is grown on the cultures when urine is sent off for analysis. This time my doctors decided not to give me antibiotics but to try me on capsules of cranberry and to drink juice. I still feel like i need to Pee as soon as I've been to the toilet and i keep getting twitches in my lower back. Not sure if its connected or not. Any way i also feel like an air bubble or something is trapped in my urethra and Im not sure if that's causing the discomfort or not. Im getting really depressed about it all and my bank balance is getting very low due to all the antibiotics.as they've been prescribing me! Has any one got any answers for me?

Hi
Thank you for asking HCM
I have gone through your query.Your problem is most likely nonspecific urethritis.Test for chlamydia should be taken. If it is positive then should be treated with doxycycline. Irritants like soaps can a reason for nonspecific urethritis. In such cases you can use a hypoallergic soaps like Cetaphil. You can maintain the PH and normal microbial flora by using intimate washes.I prescribe urinary antispasmodics like flavoxate also.Hope this may help you.
Let me know if you have any further query.
