How To Treat A Dent On The Inner Tibia Below Kneecap Due To A Injury?
Hey um today I was playing basketball and I got pushed and fell. As I fell my leg smashed into a metal pole. When it hit I looked at my leg and there was a visible dent on my inner tibia lower than my kneecap. It doesn t hurt when I walk on it or run or jump unless I stomp. It only hurts like a bruise. Even now whn I touch it it feels like a dent in my bone but it s not visible .Could you please tell me what this is? Thanks Vinco
Hi,Thanks for your query. After going through your query I came to know that you got wound over your shin. It may skin and soft tissue injury, may be periosteum. But bone in not involved as you can walk on it or run or jump.If wound is large one then you can get it stitched, otherwise you can get it clean and dressed by betadine. Analgesic such as diclofenac can be given for pain relief. Vitamin Be-Complex and C are useful for healing. You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it. I do hope that you have found something helpful. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries. Wishing you good health. Take care.
