How To Treat A Painful, Itchy Condition In My Butt Crack ?

I have a raw, painful condition in my butt crack. It started itchy. When I wiped it with tissue, it bled quite a bit. I have been applying triple antibiotic ointment for two days. There is no more bleeding, and I don t think any discharge, but it is still very painful from time to time when I move. I am unable to view the area and have no one to view it for me. Could it be a yeast infection that needs a different treatment?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms can be related to a east infection. I recommend to use an anti-fungal cream for local application such as Clotrimazole cream. I also suggest to maintain a good hygiene and use cotton underwear.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
