How To Treat A Vaginal Small Pimple With Painful Urination In A 2 Years Old Child?

Hello, my 2 years old baby got a small pimple inside her vagina and since she is having pain while urinating. She has pain only while urinate and we touh there. What could be the reason for this pimple. Is it infection. We use diaper only ngt time while sleeping.

Hi,

The pimple could be related to:

- infection (urine/vagina)
- allergic reaction

I suggest to get her urine analysis tested for urinary tract infection. If nothing will result, then, it might be vaginal infection/thrush.

In this case, should wash her genitalia with warm water and hypoallergic soap, rinse thoroughly, apply chamomile tea and let dry.

If vaginal thrush, should apply miconazole cream locally to ease the symptoms.

If no improvement, should get her feces examined for ova/parasites as usually intestinal parasitic infections (worms) can give such symptoms. If the test will become positive, should start de-worming drugs.
