How To Treat A Whooping Cough In A 2yr Old Child?

i have a 2yr old who has just been diagnosed with whooping cough i also have a 3week old my 2yr old has had her shots. our doctor has put our household on antibiotics what are the chances of my little one getting it to and is there anything else i can do, and i know i will probably have to take her to the hospital at some point, but at what stage?

Thanks for writing to healthcare magic.
Whooping cough spreads by respiratory secretions.
It's better to keep your second baby separately and avoid close contact.
Usually mothers immunity can protect to some extent, make sure you breast feed continuously.
If the second one starts coughing it's better to consult in a day or two, rather to wait and let it worsen.
