How To Treat Bleeding And Burning Sensation During Bowel Movement?

Hi. I am 16 and I have noticed that over the past few days that when I have a bowel movement, I bleed. I am thinking about changing my diet, but I am not sure how to tell my parents that I want to change it. I was looking and after referencing several sites that it may be an anal fissure. There is bright red blood, and a while ago when I had a bowl movement there would be a burning sensation as if something was being torn. I am relatively concerned but I m not sure how to bring this up to my parents. Any advice would be helpful. If you can email the response then I can reply. I don t have money to pay for this. In most cases, causes of bleeding through rectum are benign and include hemorrhoids, anal fissure or rectal polyps. These are primarily treated with stool softener, diet and sitzbaths. If there is no improvement in next few weeks, then surgical management should be considered. Other causes may be more serious and include tumors or inflammatory bowel diseases and these should be ruled out with colonoscopy which must be done if there is low blood count present or rapid weight loss. Otherwise, you can see if conservative therapy will help and consult proctologist if necessary.
