Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Dear patient
Post injection pain in your buttocks is common and is due to mild inflammation. it subsides within two to three days. You should apply ice packs at local site of pain. you can take tab ibuprofen 400 mg thrice a day for pain relief. But if there is redness at buttock with fever infection is possibility and In that case visit to you physician is recommended. If you don't want to take injection oral medications are also available. Only it take longer time to correct vitamin b12 deficiency. thanks.
