How To Treat Cold Mediated Eye Irritation And Rash On Body In A 9 Months Old Child?
Hi I have a 9 month old baby, He has had a cold like symptoms and temperatures over last few days, Temperatures have stopped today and he seemed in better form but this evening, his eyes seem to be irritating him and he has a rash on his body. He has been off food for few days but has been breast feeding.
Hi Welcome to Healthcare-Magic Greetings of the day Majority of the upper respiratory tract symptoms are caused by viral infection. They are usually self limiting and may sometimes be associated with rash. If the child is comfortable while sucking at breast , and sleeps adequately after that it is very much reassuring and signifies that the infection is only limited to upper airways. Keeping the baby warm , maintaining his nutrition and supportive care like giving antipyretic whenever there is fever and normal saline nasal drops will definitely provide the much needed relief.
Take care
