Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
39YEARS, 5 FEET 5 INCHES, MILD COLITIS. HAD BABY SIX WEEKS AGO VIA C SECTION. HAVE DULL PAIN UNDER BREASTBONE THAT RADIATED TO MY BACK. ALL TESTS WERE DONE FOR GALL STONES, BLOOD CLOTS, PANCREAS, ETC. GETTING BURNING IN THE LOWER AREA OF MY THROAT AND STOMACH. TAKING RIVOTRIL 2MG ONCE AT NIGHT DUE TO ANXIETY AFTER HAVING THE BABY. DOCTOR THINKS I HAVE A HIATAL HERNIA SINCE THE MUSCLE IS OPEN IN THE UPPER AREA OF MY ABDOMEN
HI Thank for asking to HCM Your query will be highly appreciated, the given history is not indicative of hiatal hernia and no need to worry about this, first thing you need to do is to come out of the stress. The given history here is strongly suggestive of acid peptic disease and the underlying cause of this could be your anxiety, beside this, medicine could be the cause that might have taken after the C- section. I would suggest to try Antacid with local anesthetic action, and PPI once in day and the best drug is Omeprazole 40 at evening time for couple of week. hope this information helps.
