Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been told I have a compressed fracture L4, I have had a cat scan bone scan and blood work am waiting for a MRI, taking pain medication, and Naproxen, can you tell me if this is going to heal on its own, it is very painful, I have osteroprois, have had 14 cracked ribs thank you
Ideally, compression fractures of spine should always be fixed with screws however they can be treated by bed rests if there is no neurological involvement.
Thank you. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Jaideep Gaver, Orthopedic Surgeon
