How To Treat Constipation In Kids?

my 5 year old son is suffering from constipation, he has been prescribed a stool softner in a form of a satchet. the problem we are having is he has a very sore bottom due to the discharge. we have tried vaseline and bepathen but the area is very difficult to keep dry.

Hello,

I would recommend continuing using the stool softener. I recommend using over the counter option like Tylenol syrup to relieve the anal pain. I also recommend using cool compresses at the area for relief.
