How To Treat Constipation?

Hello my wife has just had an operation on her anal spinkter and can't goto poo, she is in great pain and painkillers are not working , she is scarred if she does not go she will die, the last time she went for a proper poo was 2 weeks ago . Any idea or advice what to do. She has eaten loads of fruit and been taking laxatives but nothing working .

Hello,

The symptoms of your wife seem to be related to constipation. I suggest you use over the counter option Laxative such Miralax. I also suggest using daily probiotics.

If the symptoms continue she can try enemas for relief.
