my baby muhammad is having watery loose motions and did three big vomits, he is 13 months old and getting weak day by day. he is also having irritation in gums. he already has 4 teeths in upper jaw and 4 teeths in lower jaw.i m so confused as 7 days are passed and m not getting gud result, doctor recommended me pedialyte or ORS and negram syrup and neointestopane suspension syrup but even giving him for seven days he is not getting well at al.. plz tell me wht to do?

Hi.. How many loose motions does the child pass per day now? Is there any recent change in diet of the baby? Another thing is that along with ORS you should try lactose free formula feeds. A stool examination should also be done as the patient is not responding to the treatment. You should keep watch on the urine output. If anytime you feel that there is reduced urine output or sunken eyes or dry tongue or decreased oral intake, do visit your doctor to correct the dehydration first.
