How To Treat Dog Bite In Children?

hi.my daughter was bitten by our puppy last year.she was given anti-rabies vaccine for 3 scheduled days.Unfortunately, she was bitten again this morning.Should I bring her to the hospital for another anti-rabies vaccine?or the vaccine is still active in her body?

I can understand your concern for your daughter.

Since, she was given three doses of anti rabies vaccine last year, the vaccination done may not sufficient enough to protect her against rabies following a second puppy bite.

So, she should receive TWO booster doses of anti rabies vaccine on 0 and 3 days.
