How To Treat Excessive Hair Loss In The Elderly?

I am a young woman of 80 years old. Over the past two months I have experienced hair loss. this comes on topp of fine, thin hair - to begin with. I m planning to call my primary care doctor tomorrow to check over my meds. What else could cause hair loss - other than the aging process- I can list my meds for you if necessary.

Hello,
There are many causes for hair loss. Seeing your doctor is the best thing to do. You will need blood tests and a physical exam to determine the cause. While it is true that we all lose some hair as we age, it should not be all of a sudden over a few months like that
Regards
