How To Treat Foul Vaginal Odour While Having Vaginosis?

I m in menopause and have had vaginosis in the past but it s been awhile since this has happened. It has a slight fishy odor but don t want it to get worse. I used estrace last night but, after reading everything I m starting to think maybe I should see my Dr or do you think the strategy may be enough since it just started?

It can be due to
1. Gonorrhea and chlamydia are two of the most common causes of Vaginal discharge, early diagnosis and start antibiotics will help you
2.  Urinary tract infections with increased frequency of urination, irritation during urination, lower abdominal pain - urine culture will help to diagnose
3.  Urethritis - damage to the urethra from intercourse or masturbation, irritation from a product, such as soap, deodorant, or detergent, adenovirus, genital injuries
4. Candida infection can also cause watery discharge with itching. Smear from the discharge will help you diagnose and start early antifungal medication.
5. Trichomoniasis infection can cause vaginal discharge too can be diagnosed by swab or urine sample.

Yes, you need to meet a doctor in person for a better diagnosis.
