Hi,I am Dr. Santosh Kondekar (Pediatrician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
my daughter is 2 years old...and has always been a fussy eater! I feel very low when she is not eating enough and get worried about her health. On a few days she will eat well...but on certain days she will have just a glass of milk and a fruit for the entire day! What am i supposed to do...i feel so helpless...she weighs 11 kgs...is her weight ok for her age
Hi, thanks for asking. I can understand your concerns. Yes, her weight is in the normal range for her age. Appetite of a child varies from day to day. I would suggest you let the appetite of the child to guide her eating. Especially when her weight is fine. And please stop feeling guilty for your child eating less. Offer her nutritious food at the regular meal time. If she does not eat then don't force her. Offer her food again at the next meal time. Do not make meal times stressful for the child and you. I hope I have helped you. Thank you
