Hello. Thanks for asking from HCM.
I can understand your concern. According to your history, it appears that the
head injury which happened 16 years back, caused depressed
fracture. Basically, skull bone is made up of two bone plates - outer and inner. In depressed fracture,
depression occurs in outer and inner plate along with fracture of bone. It should be immediately evaluated as sometimes surgery is needed to correct the dent. But many a times, it is left as such like in children of less then 7 years, only inner plate fracture, no
brain injury along with fracture.
In your case, you must had non dangerous injury at that time. In last 16 years, fracture had already healed. But proper remodelling did not occur, thats why you still had dent. You need not to worry about dent.
Pain in any part of body has a tendency to radiate or refer to old injury site. So headache might feel you to be occurring at dent site. For pain, you can take
Diclofenac sodium tablet after proper prescription. If still no relief, then
consult doctor for evaluation of headache. Without evaluation, do not get any CT or
MRI done.
Thanks. Hope it will help you. take care
