A friend of mine fell and hit her head dancing last night. Today she fainted walking to turn in a paper in class, has pain and sees black spots when she looks right (the same side she hit), has thrown up a few times. there is no swelling but there is pain when it is touched. Her pupils are dilating equally on both sides. she is exhibiting no confusion and can state her name, the date, who i am, etc. no trouble walking except for feeling dizzy and when she fainted. slept fine and was easy to wake during the night and this morning. Should we be concerned and take her to the doctor? She took extra strength advil last night and stated some relief of pain but it did not go away.
Hii. Looking at the symptoms as you are stating, as she had vomited more than 2 times and also has problems in vision.
I will advise she need a immediate CT scan of Head according to guidelines, she should go to Emergency Department. For pain, she can take Tab. Tylenol 2 tabs stat for the time being.
I hope this will help to solve your query.
Regards,
Dr. Vivek
