How To Treat Heavy Menstruation Due To Fibroids And An Enlarged Uterus?
What can you tell me about robotic hysterectomy? I am a 45 year old woman with fibroids and a large uterus. My periods are heavy. One obgyn I saw a few years ago told me just to let everything stop natural. It s better that way. I went and saw a obgyn onocologist and she said that is the best thing. A hysterectomy. I will not take birth control cause my mom had a stroke and seizures years ago from birth control. I also have had previous surgeries on my liver and pancreas so I know I could get blood clots. So those are the two reasons that I will not take birth control. Any input I would appreciate it.
If the bleeding is heavy and causing you iron deficiency anemia also the symptoms of pain, discomfort, difficulty urination and defecation them hysterectomy may be a solution.
Also the measurements of the fybromyoma should be evaluated. If the symptoms are mild you may wait till menopause and the symptoms will subside. In menopause, the fybromyoma tend to shrink.
