How To Treat Hurting Legs In Children?

3 year old daughter my daughter is 3 and every once and a while she wakes up on the middle of the night crying and complaining that her legs hurt. this usually happens when's she's has had a lot of physical activity in the day. is this normal/ what can I do to ease the pain?

Thanks for the query.
I can understand your concern.
It is called as growing pain.
Experts don't know for sure what causes the pain, but it does seem to occur more often after a child has had an especially active day.
You can help relieve your child's discomfort with a heating pad or hot water bottle, massage, and the correct dose of acetaminophen or ibuprofen.
Also stretching exercises with your child each day may help.
If the pain arises from particular point in leg, more often in one leg then you need to see the doctor.
