How To Treat Intermittent Upper Left Quadrant Abdominal Pain Which Radiates Till Shoulder Blades And Nausea?
I have intermittent upper left quadrant abdominal pain that radiates to my back upper left side just around the base of my shoulder blades. I saw a gastroenterologist a few years ago but the tests showed nothing. The past few weeks the pain has gotten worse and is now accompanied with nausea that worsens after I eat food. This morning I began waking up thinking I was really hungry but then realized I was actually feeling nauseous. When I lay down the hunger feeling is worse.
Your symptoms may be caused by heart ischemia, peptic ulcer or some pancreas issues. Gallstones problem can be also the reason however the pain is usually in the right side. I suggest you to have some tests. Abdominal ultrasound, blood work, liver tests, pancreas tests, heart ECG, chest X-ray, gastroscopy should be at first. In case of ulcer, please avoid fatty foods, spicy foods, alcohol, coffee, orange juice, chocolate.
Hope this will help. Regards.
