How To Treat Itching And Discomfort Due To Chickenpox?

Hi Doctor,

I believe my 17 yr old daughter has shingles. She had chicken pox at 3 1/2 yrs old. (She has a low immune system and has had 17 surgeries for her physical disabilities she has.) It has been over 72 hrs. so I don't know if antibiotics would be effective at this point. I have given her Benedryl and put calimin lotion on the effected areas. The areas are very soar and itchy. Is there any other lotions she can use to stop the itching and discomfort?

Thanks Juliana
