How To Treat Itching In And Around My Vagina?

hai i am 28 year old woman, married and i am having a son of 2 1/2 years, actually i have a problem, i.e. i usally get itching around my vagina some time even inside vagina also, i have contacted my gynic, she gave me a ontiment and some tablets(i dont rememeber the names), it itching came to control, after i have finished my treatment i stopped aplying onintment,, after few days again the itching starterd, then my gynic told to continue the same ointment. i did so... but after stoping the ointment it began itching again...

and the skin around my vagina is very dry and sometimes the skinaround vagina will peel off, i dont know what to do... please can u tell me the remedy for this....
