How To Treat Itchy Rashes On Body And Face Due To Amoxicillin Reaction?

We have a three year old girl who had an amoxicillin reaction two days ago. She had a rash which started at her face and spread all the way to her feet. She has stopped taken the drug and her rash is getting better but her feet and hands are driving her crazy with a severe itchiness is this normal. If so how can we stop it and how long does it usally last. We have tried several creams, oatmeal baths, and benydryl. Please excuse my grammer I havnt sleep in three nights.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The reaction can lasts a few days until the drug is completely eliminated from her system.
It can take up to 3 to 4 days in some persons.

Continue the use of the oral antihistamines. The additional use of antihistamine and/or mild topical steroid creams would also help.

I hope this helps
