How To Treat Liquid Draining Out Of Boil On Little Finger?

Hi my boil that was on my pinky finger drained and I'm pretty sure all the pus came out with the help of hot soaks and antibiotics. I let it keep draining and wiped it with some paper towels and washed it with antibiotic soap. It's still draining right now, but it's only watery blood. it still hurts a bit when I hold it facing down but nothing compared to when it wasn't open, and the skin around it is still swollen, a bit hard and red. I'm just wondering if I'll be okay?

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that there is still infection and inflammation present in the finger leading to discharge of tissue fluid and pus..
I would suggest you to take a course of antibiotics like Sulfamethoxazole and Trimethoprim combination..
You can clean your finger with antiseptic solution and apply TRIPLE ANTIBIOTIC Ointment over it..
You can also apply Steroid ointment over it..
Avoid water exposure to the finger..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
