Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks and welcome to HCM .
Prolonged diarrhea destroys mucous membrane of the gut.
This leads to lactose intolerance and this gives rise to diarrhea .
Get stool examined for reducing sugars.
If the test is positive consult pediatrician and get proper treatment .
Hope this answer is OK for you.

Pediatrician Dr. Meghana Sultania's  Response
thanks for the question. if your child isnot having fever then its less likely to be infective loose motions. kindly consider syrup zinc for 14 days along with any lactobaciilus syrup or sachet for 5 days. keep toys clean. wash your hands before handling baby. avoid wheat based diet rather give rice based home made or nestum rice during episodes. you can also try natural lactobacillus like curds.
