How To Treat Nasal Bleeding And A Bump On The Bridge Of The Nose Caused By An Injury?

My 17 month old grandson fell and bumped the bridge of his nose. A bump appeared, I put ice on it and he bled through one nostril. He has been playing fine and doesn t seem in pain. His nose bled slightly some more when he ran around but has stopped. Should I be worried?

Hello,
Bleeding after trauma from nose is very very common as it has rich supply of blood vessels. Put direct pressure with cotton gauze or pinch the nose when bleeding. If he bleeds repeatedly, then do complete blood count and coagulation parameters to see if there is any pathology.
