How To Treat Pain Along Wit Discolouration And Swelling Of Foot Due To Injury?

I slipped and hurt my foot its swollen and all green purple and a mixed color of red. I went to the doctor and he said that I hadn t broken it. He said that I might ve just had a pinched nerve but I m unsure cause I still have pain and its gottten worse.

If its constantly inflammed and swollen and pain doesn't subside, may get X-ray done if there's any hairline fracture or not? If its only sprain, then color should not change generally.
