How To Treat Painful Lumps In Armpit In A 5 Years Old Child?

I have a 5 yr old boy and we noticed some what looks like knots in his neck area back in february and according to him it is painful, not he noticed 2 small lumps underneath his left armpit and he said it hurts, i asked his dr about the neck and dr said its lymph nodes, im just worry, should i get a second opinion?

Hi....your Dr was right...they are lymph nodes in deed. But pain is something unusual & by your history they are now spreading into armpit from neck. Kindly see your pediatrician if the following symptoms are present.... Significant weight loss/ loss of appetite/ chronic or recurrent fever/ pallor or anemia/ pain in limbs/ breathing difficulty or recent onset hoarseness of voice or stridor. Happy to help anytime.
