Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My mother is suffering from peptic ulcer from Last 11 months & she taking sazo 500ms medicine regularly, but still having some problems. She feels severe headache 2or 3 days in a week. Some times she suffres from diarrhoea, like once in a month.
Sazo contains sulfasalazine which is not a good choice in case of peptic ulcer. She needs to get PPI (proton pump inhibitor) like Omeprasole or Pantoprasole treatment. As it lasts 11 months, she also need another gastroscopy done to see if the ulcer is not a cancer. Please consult gastrologist with this issue.
Hope this will help. Regards.
