How To Treat Persistent Itching In Between Thighs And The Mons?

I have persistant itching in the area between my thighs and the mons. I don't have any STD's and have been married to mongomous married partner for 35 years. I am 54 and I have tried antifungal cream, gold bond powder, and the itching is driving me crazy. I keep the area clean and dry. Could this be menopause related? Sometimes it seems worse in the evening.

Hello dear,
Welcome to HCM.
I have read your query and understood your concern.

The most common reason for itching this area is fungal infection.
I usually advice my patients to take both oral antifungals like fluconazole/terbinafine alongwith topical antifungals like clotrimazole/terbinafine/sertraconazole cream twice daily for atleast 2 weeks.

For symptomatic relief , you may take tab levocetrizine/fexofenadine in night time.

I hope it helps.
Good luck.
