How To Treat Positive Exercise Induced Ischemia And Positive ST Segment With History Of CABG?
My dad underwent CABG in December 2010, now cholesterol, lipid profile tests, liver functions, sugar and BP all are normal. This morning he went for TMT test and there is positive exercise induced ischemia and positive ST segment. So not sure what to do, please help?
Positive exercise induced ischemia and ST segment elevation indicates that there is certain amount of blockage in the coronary arteries indicating further attention and treatment.
some times these blocks can be treated either medically or through angioplasty. but it depends upon the site and type of blockage and plaque.
So for further investigations you need to undergo coronary angiogram.
Thanks
