How To Treat Post Delivery Mediated Periods Irregularity With History Of Hypothyroidism And On Deviry10?
Hello doctor, I am 25 years old and have a 6months baby by ceasarean. I was having irregular periods, so i took deviry10 for 5days and got period. But after 1month again i hvn't got period, its 6 day delay. I did pregnancy test, its negative. What could be the reason? Is there anything to worry about? I have hypothyroidism. Also i want to know that in this condition can i take contraceptic pill?
I am so sorry to hear about these irregular menses. If you breastfeed the child well enough, you may not see your menses soon after delivery. This may be the case with you. What I suggest is to stop taking any medications to provoke menses. absence of menses in a breastfeeding mother is total normal. You may also want to talk to your doctor about a contraceptive method to help guard against unwanted or unplanned pregnancies.
I hope this addresses your query fully. Feel free to ask for clarifications and more information if need be. I wish you well. Thanks for utilizing our services, we very much appreciate it. Dr. Ditah, MD.
