How To Treat Rash And Severe Itching Due To Plavix?

Hi, my mom just had one stent and a balloon procedure Friday morning and it's now Monday evening. I have her at home with me, but she still feels weak. She also had a rash reaction to the Plavix (sp?) they're guessing and put her on another RX instead. She's taking Benadryl for the rash and severe itching. Should she still feel tired on day 3?? My mom is 74, has ulcerative colitis, HBP, diabetes and 40 lbs. over weight.

hello and welcome. what medication was prescribed instead of Plavix, kindly specify. benedryl is ok for the allergic response she has. plz give description of all the drugs she is on, as sedation leading to drowsiness may mimic weakness.
monitor her bp and fasting blood sugar regularly and continue the meds for ulcerative colitis. thanx
