How To Treat Red And Painful Scrotum Of An Infant?

My 11 month old son has red balls no swoling just red and when I go to wipe them he crys and screams from the pain only his balls are red and it happened just within 7 hours im putting diaper rash cream for now any idea what this could be and should I take him to his dr

Hi...please take him to his pediatrician immediately . If he is crying by just touching them it can be testicular torsion or epidymoorchitis. Both need immediate medical attention.
I do not think a simple fungal infection or skin infection of the scrotum can cause this.
The other possibility is that it could be cellulitis of the skin of the scrotum.
