How To Treat Redness Around The Eye Due To An Injury?
My 5 year old got hit in the eye yesterday by a piece of flying card board, it took a couples hours for him to get it open fully then cried the rest of the day and it is very red in and around his eye today mainly from rubbing it with a wet rag. What can we do tonight to keep him comfortable til tomorrow to go see a doctor. I bought eye drops but not sure I can use them in his eye
Hello It seems from the history that your 5 year old is having redness of the eyes following injury. Since the injury has involved the eye it requires eye examination by a ophthalmologist to rule out eye injury. As of now you can use antibiotic eye drops and analgesics for pain relief. And do consult your ophthalmologist at the earliest to rule out eye injury and treatment accordingly depending on the finding of the examination.
Thank you
