How To Treat Sharp Pain In Inner Right Leg Above Ankle?

Hello. I have an sharper type pain on the inner side of my right leg, above the ankle bone going about 1/2 way up. it stops about 1/2 way before you get to the knee joint. had it for about 5 days now. about two weeks ago it started with a pain in the Achilles tendon area on the same leg. that has now subsided and i know have the pain in this new area. this pain comes when I walk. sitting causes no discomfort but if I move my ankle around in an effort to stretch the area I definitely feel it. I don t believe it is a shin splint as I have had those and this is on the inner side of my leg. -- thanks, Felicia

Hi,Thanks for your query. After going through your query I came to know that you are having pain on your right leg . It seems to me as muscular pain. Treatment of it is rest and analgesics (diclofenac three times a day after meals). Muscle relaxant such as thiocolchicoside can be added. Vitamin B-complex and Vitamin C supplementation can used to promote healing. However you can x ray done to exclude bony pain.I also consider it may be due to deep vein thrombosis but it is only since 5days. You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it.
