54 6' 195lbs. I have diffuse Large smoothB cell lymphoma. It was low grade at the last biopsy. High grade before that. I was given a bone marrow stem cell transplant in '09. A rash (~1"x2", rough, slightly raised and itchy) has appeared on the top of my right foot. An elliptical, smooth, solid red rash, ~1" wide, has appeared in my left arm pit. It tends to burn and itch. Does this sound like Lymphoma Rash? Is there any treatment for it?
Pathologist and Microbiologist, Dr. Siddartha's Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
I have a question for you. What is the time gap between appearance of rash and bone marrowtransplantation date? During bone marrow transplantation, your hematologist will give you immunosupression drugs.
Rash may be because of oppurtunistic infection by viruses and so many pathogens. Please consult dermatologist or your hematologist and have skin biopsy and other serological tests.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Siddartha
