How To Treat Solid Lump With Head On Child's Back?

Hey i was curious as to what this might be on a child. My friends kid has a lump on is back about the size of a ping pong ball. It is red and inflamed from the outside, it feels warm when you touch it, it doubled the size in 2 days, her son says it is not painful, it is solid, and it has a small head.

Probably it is some Abscess or infected haematoma.
