Neurologist, Surgical 's  Response
Hi, thanks for asking from HCM.

I can understand your concern. This type of severe headache with vomiting could be

: Post concussion headache - It can be suspected if history of head injury in last 3 months. It is bitemporal, dull, may become severe, nausea/vomiting can occur, pain increased by stress/exertion/injury.

If your symptoms are matching, it could be the cause. Treatment is
: bed rest
: Tab Diclofenac and Domperidone during pain attack, after prescription
: Avoid mental stress, exertion
: If no relief, you can take Tab Duloxetine after prescription

: Eye disease - Eye disease like refractive error, bilateral glaucoma can cause severe pain with vomiting. It is usually associated with blurred vision, redness and watering in eyes.

If you have numbered glasses and not using it regularly, start using it. Get your vision checked up. Consult ophthalmologist to for eye check up.

: Raised intracranial pressure - It is an emergency condition. Mass lesion like tumor, cyst can cause increased pressure in head and such symptoms. It must be ruled out if no specific cause is detected.

Consult Neurosurgeon for it. He will advise MRI brain after evaluating you. Treatment may be surgical if mass detected.

Final treatment can be given dyer confirmation. Get yourself checked. At home, you can
: Take rest
: Take Diclofenac/Ibuprofen/Paracetamol after proper prescription.
: Take tablet Pantoprazole with Domperidone combination for vomiting.
: Avoid stress, bright light, exertion, insomnia or sleep deprivation.
: Use glasses if you have one

Hope it will help you. Still in doubt, ask another question.
Thanks. Take care
