Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a stiff right hip. I am 62 yrs of age, weigh about 67 kgs and am 5ft 3in tall. I had a couple falls in 2006 and also have a fallen arch in the same leg. I am unable to sit cross-legged. I can walk for half an hour no pain and then the pain starts. I can still walk but have to limp. If i have to stand and do something like cooking then 20 mins at a time is all i can manage. what are my options
It is necessary to examine your hips by performing a hip X-ray study. A hip MRI may be needed. If the pain persists, consulting with an orthopedic surgeon may be necessary.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
