How To Treat Stinging And Burning Sensation At Back ?

I had a 20 hour back surgery 7 weeks ago. I am up and moving around on my own. All I take is Gabapentin 100mg. The doctor took two of my ribs on the left side to rebuild T12. My spine has two rods on both sides of my spine with screws from T4 to L4. My muscles in my back are so tight they feel like they are stretched to their max and sting and burn when I move. I am having electrical sensations in my left rib cage. Those simsations last fraction of seconds, but there are a lot of the shocks going every which way. That side is still swollen and discolored. There is a place on the lower back that feels like the incisions is going to come apart and it burns real bad. What can I do to loosen up these muscles, tendens, or ligiments?

Hi,Thanks for your query. After going through your query I came to know that you got spine surgery7weeks ago where a rod was fixed with screws and with two ribs taken to rebuild T12. Now your complain is tightness of your muscles. You are having electric sensations.I think you have stiffness .You need physiotherapy and exercises to reduce stiffness. For pain relief you can take analgesic such as ibuprofen. Vitamin B and C are helpful in recovering. Mecobalamine help in reducing electric sensation as these are due to nerve damage. You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it. I do hope that you have found something helpful. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries. Wishing you good health. Take care.
