Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I was diagnosed with subq sarcoid 4 years ago, after biopsy didn t reveal much. Put of a steroid cream, didn t really respond, have been going to tanning bed, short increments, will abate, but now new areas are forming. I also have joint pain, all labs have come back negative for connective tissue disease. I finally am getting a referral to a rheumatogist, but don t want steroids. I may not get in for a few months.
Anti-inflammatory medications are already in use by you. I will add-on some simple physiotherapy treatment which will help reduce the joint pains. As there is inflammation at the muscle and joint there will be pain and reduced strength. Doing simple exercises which helps maintains the joint range of motions and simple static exercise to help maintain the muscle property.
Continue to use the anti-inflammatory medications prescribed and do regular exercise along with the lab test at regular intervals.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Jay Indravadan Patel, Physical Therapist or Physiotherapist
