How To Treat Swelling And Bruising Of My Head Post Injury?
headache On Tuesday of this week i got hit in the head really hard. Which caused swelling and bruising of my head. Since then I get a headache in the exact same stop where i got hit and i get this throbbing pain that feels lounge electricity jolts for about 30 seconds then it goes away.
Within 24-48 hours of the injury, apply ice packs at regular intervals.
If it has been over 2 days, apply hot fomentation intermittently to reduce the swelling .
Did you have any vomiting, loss of consciousness , immediately after head injury. If yes or if headache is persistent, you need to visit the physician as soon as possible, and he might recommend a CT scan based on the history and clinical examination.
Hope this helps.
Regards, Dr. Divya Kuttikrishnan
